- City May Seek Changes For Security Firm. A consultant assisting Marquette Park Special Service Area 14 commissioners with the renewal application they must complete this month warned at an April 24 meeting that even if everything is done right, city officials may not re-approve the district in its present form.
- Congratulations to sister Dolorine Lopez being appointed as a commissioner of Marquette Park Special Service Area Number 14. Support by 18th Ward Alderman Lona Lane and 15th Ward Alderman Toni Foulkes is greatly appreciated. For more information on our current Commissioners, please click here
- 02-01-2008 - "Public Meetings" section updated with details about yesterday's MPSSA # 14 Commissioners' Public Meeting (first one of the planned four meetings to take place this year).
- "Community Alerts" page updated with a new citizen alert, recently issued by the City of Chicago Police.
- 01-22-2008 - electronic copies of the recorded minutes of two of the last year's MPSSA # 14 Commission meetings (those held on 06/21/07 and 09/13/07) were added to our "Public Meetings" section. The minutes of the last November meeting will be posted online shortly, after their final approval by the Commission.
- tentative public meeting schedule for 2008 has been announced. As of now, the MPSSA#14 Commission open meetings are planned to be held on the last week of every quarter, starting January 31st, 2008. They will therefore take place on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m., at LHS headquarters in Marquette Park, on:
- January 31st
- April 24th
- July 31st
- October 30th
